Its very expensive compared to other areas I have stayed, I wouldn't have stayed here if it wasn't for the cycling. You can get way better value else where. Its got everything you need, although was disappointed the gondola from the valley up, was running in the summer. would have expected this being a MTB resort in the summer.

Meribel - Mottaret is a great resort a little higher and smaller than Meribel. It’s ideal for families as has many ski-in out options. At Easter it was fairly quiet, no queues and plenty of Space. Weather was changeable but we had very good snow 3 /5 days. The restaurants are decent and there is a good supermarket. All very easy to navigate. ESF ski school recommended.

We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking.
We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking. While there are a few red and black trails, which favour a downhill bike, most trails and tracks are better suited with an enduro bike. If you don't mind a little bit of pushing uphill, it's fine either way.
Most "Bikepark" tracks are on the easier side suited well for beginners. Elite/pro tracks are harder to find, but those that exist are fun to ride with well built jumps and drops / obstacles. I wouldn't mind to have more of those though.
The enduro trails are panoramic and absolutely superb. The view from the mountains is just stunning. Descent is sometimes over 1000hm which is really amazing.
All three valleys can be accessed with chair lifts by a single ticket. The price is totally fair.
Summed up, for hardcore Bikepark riding an area like Chatel/Avoriaz/Morzine is probably a bit better, but for a good mixture of DH/Enduro Meribel and surrounding area is just perfect. Would bring both bikes next time though ;)

I have been to Meribel for a week's skiing before and had a great time. Now I visit often for just the day as we stay in Chamagny en vanoise which is just across the valley from Courcheval and has access to la Plagne, Champagny is a cute tradition French village and just feels like you're in France unlike some other ski resorts. From here we can ski La Plagne and Les Arcs or drive 20 mins to Courcheval to mix up the week a little.
Hotel Le Tremplin far exceeded our expectations and made our honeymoon so so special. From the minute of our arrival we were greeted with a beautiful arrangement in our room along with daily house keeping and the most friendly hotel staff. Not to mention, we ate the most amazing breakfast you’ll ever have every single morning. The hotel is very close to ski lifts and easy to rent skis from a variety of places. Everything was perfect from arrival to departure. If you’re thinking about Méribel, staying here is an absolute must!
Hotel is honestly in the best location of the three valleys. we’ve been going there for 12 years and this is the second year at this hotel. it’s located right where all the restaurants are with a supermarket downstairs too. The best part is it is also right at the chairlifts and being in Mottaret means you’re connected the best to all the other valleys in the three valleys. it’s the easiest to get everywhere from.
3 bedroom suit with 2 bathrooms + kitchen suit our needs fr group of 7 friends.
like large ski locker with boot drier for up to 8 pairs.
nice view from balcony
good bed quality.
fast service respond to our needs
well equipped kitchen. 2 different types of Coffee machines. ( capsules and ground coffee)
Good sized apartment in easy walking distance to lift & village centre. Two reasonable sized bedrooms with separate shower room & toilet. Very clean & comfortable. Lots of space for the four of us to relax in the dining/lounge area. Easy access as on ground floor. A great place to stay for a ski holiday!
We had a great time here. Comfortable, compact apartment at the top of Meribel Motteret with very easy access to slopes, ski hire, bars, restaurants and supermarket. A free short, gondola ride will also take you down to Motteret centre and also free buses to other resorts in valley.
The location in Mottaret was fabulous! The reception staff was friendly. The laundry in Les Crets works well -there are two machines (7Eur each - soap included, dryer 4.5Eur - pay by credit card). Two very nearby stores to buy anything needed. Several good restaurants nearby, too.
Raphael was a fantastic host and made it so easy for us to access the property and enjoy our time in Meribel. The trip was excellent and the property was very modern and spacious. I highly recommend this to all those looking for somewhere to stay that's very good value for money.
I chose the place because of the location, next to the hotel. This was very good. The place was good for me as I am OK with a camping type of living. But for most, it would be too small. The maintenance of the snow and ice on the walkways was good. The building was quiet.
A very nice apart-hotel with great location, convenient rooms, all the essential amenities and a friendly staff.
the access to the pistes is only 2-3 minutes walk and the hotel is in the center of Meribel with a descent pleiad of bars and restaurants around
Before we arrived the staff were in touch helping to make our trip as smooth as possible. The location was fantastic, having the ski shop on location was perfect, and staff throughout were some of the best we have experienced!
Superb location. Truly ski in, ski out; right next to the Mottaret nursery slope giving quick access to the whole of the 3 valleys. Really friendly hotel, nice staff, relaxed vibe, good food.
location on slope is perfect to ski in and out and the ski shop inside is very convenient.
the restaurant is amazing quality, and the dinners included in the half board were very impressive
The hotel was very nice- the "traditional" costumes are a little odd. Such a shame that our stay was ruined by an incident with our car parked in the "private" parking of the hotel....
Hotel great location and very friendly staff. Two restaurants were great - more expensive for special meals and cheaper for other meals. Room very comfortable.
