We were very impressed with Paimpol & the surrounding area, both coastal & inland, but in full season it could be very difficult to get around & park.
There are plenty of shops & restaurants but we only ate home-cooked food.
The ruined Abbey de Beauport is well worth a visit, with lovely coastal walking areas in and around the grounds. It also had excellent parking & a cafe.
We would recommend a stay in Paimpol but not in the full holiday season.

Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours. There are plenty of shops and restaurants but we did not find any outstandingly good. It came to life on the Tuesday with a very large market which occupies several streets and squares in the town. The bars were full and the atmosphere was lively.

Great place for a stopover, lots of boating activity, great quayside restaurants and a visit to nearby " Brehat " island is a must. Very accessible by car with many other lovely resorts worth visiting
Great large room (superior family room, 1 double, 1 single bed) with balcony overlooking the port. Comfy beds, nice linen, nespresso, tv and reclining chair…Beautifully decorated, quiet when windows closed. Bathroom nice but poor shower and wc a bit tatty. Otherwise 10/10 and highly recommended.
Very helpful staff and very pleasant and friendly. Location brilliant and lots of bars, shops, restaurants etc very close.
The location couldn't be better. It's on the main square so we were well placed for discovering the area. The apartment itself was spacious (the largest we've had in France), comfortable and the amenities were very much appreciated. We loved having a space where we could work, visit, and relax. The square is lively during the day and quiet at night.
The accommodation was excellent, with a sea view and port view. It was within walking distance to all amenities and we loved the Riva restaurant. It was small but had everything you required for a two night stay and the breakfast was so generous. Having Netflix and an excellent Wifi, what more could you want? (Being English!) Thank you.
I took a room with a port view, what you see in the photo is what you see out your window. It is “downtown” so noisier at night. Well worth exploring the coastal walking route GR34, north & south from the town. Treguier easy bus ride (though not frequent). You can rent an e-bike from Haute Keranos hotel, about a mile out of town.
A lovely place with a studio that far exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and decoration. Truely wonderful accomodation with a genuinely sincere and warm welcome. This will be my place to stay for future visits to Paimpol, without hesitation.
We are annual visitors to Paimpol and always stay at hotel Le Goelo, a wonderful location full of life, lovely restaurants and boating activity, a walkers paradise with so many options, beautiful beaches and much more, the hearth of Brittany.
Charming place managed by a lovely couple. The beach next door is not ideal for a swim but close enough to Paimpol port and other beaching spots. A great stay there.
The people were evry nice and readily available to help. And the location is awesome. Close to supermarkets, the train station, the port... We loved it
