The staff were really lovely, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean, such a bonus with a conservatory, a beautiful garden and the location so close to town. The single beds were slightly narrower than our British ones but, very comfortable indeed. Our room was on the second floor, no good for anyone with mobility issues as there was a spiral staircase, fabulous, but for the able. The room was a very good size and the en-suite was in the turret, very atmospheric.
Breakfast was very good with a mix of help yourself and being served.

My wife booked this via her Booking.com but the review is mine. Really good stop over for the ferry - the parking was ample, staff lovely and helpful, room fresh and well cleaned and the bed very comfortable - everything I could need after a long journey and I would both recommend it to others and stay there again myself in the future!

At nearly 230 euros for 1 night I suppose I expected a slightly better room, but it was a last minute booking.
Our room was basically a posh shed with shared communal inner-courtyard patio - the room had painted wooden planking on the walls. However, in fairness, the room was beautifully furnished and was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable large bed - we actually really enjoyed our quirky overnight stay.
The hotel boasts a Michelin starred chef and together with some Japanese chefs produce a Breton / Japanese fusion menu.
We ate from the snack menu in the bar which was not great however - my Caesar salad was pretty poor and my partner's foie gras was served on it's own without toast - this was pointed out to the embarrassed waiter who returned with a bread basket containing a variety of rolls and some slices of bread that had been warmed but certainly not toasted !
The swimming pool was very nice and the staff exceptional !

Roscoff is an attractive small seaside town with a ferry terminal just on the outskirts. Its a wonderful introduction to typical Breton ambiance. Plenty of places to eat traditional Breton food such as galettes and moules. A selection of small shops to browse but no supermarket. ( Nearest is in St pol de Leon) all within walking distance of each other.

We only tend to stay in Roscoff overnight before catching the ferry but there is enough history, good eating, good views and vibes to extend for a second night. It is a lovely little port which boasts a seriously good exotic garden to rival London's Kew Gardens making it a wonderful place to chill.

We have loved Roscoff for many years.
We have loved Roscoff for many years. There is always something to see; just watching the tide changing and the glorious sunsets in the Autumn is uplifting. We have watched the growth of the restaurant L'Ecume des Jours with interest for many years; we have never had a poor meal there. Other good restaurants abound, so there is plenty of choice. The shops are looking up after the effects of the pandemic and are very welcoming. The tourist office has good and useful information about events. A visit to Isle de Batz is a must. The Exotic Garden is fascinating.

It is a beautiful port town, steeped in history.
It is a beautiful port town, steeped in history. Lots of excellent eateries and cafes. The long causeway / pier makes a very pleasant refreshing walk. The Marie Stewart creperie is excellent and reasonably priced, as is the creperie de la poste. Le Pause is very good for a baguette and coffee, cakes and ice creams. Ty Pierre is always our first port of call - a welcoming cafe/ bar overlooking the port.
It is easy to walk around Roscoff and the church is well worth a visit. Driving around has become increasingly difficult with new/ additional one-way systems, which can make disabled access difficult.
I would definitely avoid theTabac/Cafe de la Presse. The lady owner was extremely rude and man-handled me (to the extent of bruising my arm) away from the counter when I was trying to explain to her shop assistant what I wanted to purchase from the window. We have visited the same shop many times over some 15 years and patronised it well, so I was really shocked to be treated this way.
Another must is a visit to the Ile de Batz which lies a short distance off-shore, You can hire a bicycle and tour the island or just enjoy the boat ride over and back for a drink / meal.
We have stayed here before and really like the location of this hotel, right on the beach with lovely views of the Ile de Batz and Perharidy and only a short, very scenic seaside walk into the centre of Roscoff.
The restaurant on the first floor has a panoramic view. The buffet breakfast was extremely good.
Our room, which also had a sea view and a balcony, was simply but very attractively furnished.
The reception staff were very helpful and charming.
The hotel was easily accessed from the Ferry and the hotel is located very centrally in Roscoff so we enjoyed walking around the town and along the harbour front. The staff were wonderful - very helpful and accommodating. The room was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast very much with lots of local Brittany delicacies available. They provided dishes and a mat for our pet dog - lovely touch. We will definitely stay again.
The location to the old town and the view we’re both excellent. we enjoyed watching the very late sunset in the lounge area since it was almost mid summer. The breakfast was very good value and delicious with plenty of choices: fresh baguette, croissants, toast, eggs, fruit, yogurts, cereal… The hotel is impeccably clean. There was a nice shower and everything worked well. The hotel staff were very accommodating. We will be back.
We needed a not too cheap not too expensive place to stay for a family of 4 after arriving with the afternoon ferry from Plymouth. This hotel was perfect for our needs: safe parking, a stroll into town to eat a wonderful pizza (Pizzeria l’Estacade, as recommended), comfortable beds, breakfast in town next day and then off in our journey south. Staff very pleasant and friendly. We will use again if need a short stay in Roscoff.
The studio was a good overnight option after arriving on the ferry from the UK before driving farther south in France. It's about 5 minutes from the ferry terminal and just a few minutes walk from the water and a quaint village with nice restaurants. It also had gated parking which was useful. It's what I would call cheap and cheerful.
Reception and all the staff were exceptional! Location was perfect, the beautiful garden and view of the garden from our bedroom window were also excellent ... my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel d'Angleterre, steps from the center of Roscoff!
Convenient location in the heart of the old town and close to the ferry port. There was free parking at Parking Quai, which was within a short walking distance from the hotel. The room was clean and had a lovely sea view.
Breakfast not good value for money. Coffee was the worst we tasted in France .Home made bread was so hard and tasteless.
Rooms were fine and the sheets were clean but the floor was very dusty.
Juliet was incredibly kind and welcoming. The house is really beautiful and our room lovely. Breakfast was really wonderful. Roscoff is a beautiful town and we loved our short visit.
Beautiful garden setting and a quiet coastal location. The pension was a little further away from Roscoff centre than the hotel we usually stay in but this was a pleasant change!
Absolute gem of a hotel. Its excellent 3 star hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Right in the heart of Roscoff!
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Bed and shower were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is superb, right in the centre with parking nearby.
Lovely spotlessly clean small hotel with a fantastic location for the Ferry Port. Gorgeous views from the room. Also allows dogs which is a bonus for us.
