Room clean as expected from previous visits. Controlled bedlam at breakfast as timed with a coach full of school children but it was enjoyable. Food was completely emptied but refilled by swift cheerful staff!

It's an ibis, the lady on reception checking in was helpful, but you don't expect all the bells and whistles.

The house and huge gardens are beautiful. The Royale bedroom was wonderfully large with a super bathroom and breakfast was served in a lovely dining room. Sylviane, the host, was delightful and helpful. The position is excellent - close to the centre and several bars and restaurants. There is secure, free parking. Communication with the host was extremely good and clear. We were sorry only to be staying the one night.

Beautiful property in private grounds. Traditionally furnished and the chateau is as depicted in photographs. Charming hosts made me feel most welcome despite requested late arrival to their home and were excellent company. No food provided but there is a choice of restaurants a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent
Near access to the main route we take from Calais to Basel...
Near access to the main route we take from Calais to Basel This aids a swift pleasant journey. Normally we eat in the local restaurants but on this occasion we’re in the process of suffering from a bad cold so minimised contact with people and facilities for the benefit of all

We stayed for a night stop-over during a motorbike trip.
We stayed for a night stop-over during a motorbike trip. The hotel met our expectations, with clean rooms and facilities. We didn't really have time to explore Saint-Dizier downtown, which is not far from the hotel but definitely not walking distance away. Private parking with cover for our motorbikes was arranged free of charge.

We love this hotel.
We love this hotel. We stop here every year coming back from Italy. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly, nice and helpful people. We have never had a problem there. The restaurant next door is very good too. The food has rustic and up-to-date food.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean and the shower is very good. The grounds are good for taking dogs for walks and the restaurant is clean and the food is excellent.
The hotel is situated in a secluded walled garden in the centre of Saint-Dizier. You'll find chickens roaming around the grounds and their eggs are available to enjoy at breakfast time. Breakfast included an excellent selection of breads, cheeses, pastries and fruit. Our room was spacious, very well decorated and especially quiet. The owners live in the main building (pictured) and the rooms are located in the adjacent renovated coach house.
Excellent location, close to the centre. We had a large family room (for 2), which was very quiet, well equipped, extra pillows (essential), good bathroom with rain shower and lots of towels. Our impression was that St Dizier is a town with limited options for evening dining, but we ate at the Les Halles market opposite the hotel which did evening barbecue food.
We intend to return and will stay in the same hotel.
A good traditional French hotel, ideal for our overnight stay on the way to Switzerland. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant; breakfast too was fine. The location was good, within easy walking distance of the centre and near the canal to watch the boats pass! Easy parking opposite the hotel
The guy on reception was exceptional. He helped and printed our travelling forms which really helped at the port. We have stayed at this hotel over 10 yrs now on the way back home and it'd always good for money. We stayed at a hotel in St Dizier the night before , it cost €10 more and was not at the same standard.
Modern purpose built hotel close to the route. Bright and spacious public areas. Clean. Excellent breakfast. Choice of chain restaurant across the road. Secure parking. 24 hour front desk. Great for a stop over. A step up from the bargain hotel chains.
Charming receptionist. Everything was fine and in line with the price. Given that and the location, the hotel was well positioned on price to value. The breakfast was pretty good, especially given its price.
Good location; very quiet, and it's only a short stroll to the town center of Saint-Dizier. There's on-site parking, but also usually enough space on the road. Host was very friendly and helpful.
The room was large with tea and coffee facilities. It was located close to a few restaurants and the motorway. It was perfect for stopping during a long journey.
