The location is next level if you enjoy walking/running/cycling/photography. I don't think anybody could be disappointed with the dramatic surroundings.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. Honestly, the nicest I've come across in a long time. Check-in was chatty and accommodating. They even surrendered their personal fan for my pregnant partner. Another member of staff took 10 mins to show me where I might see deer in the morning. Everything was clean and in good order. This is a popular spot, so parking was almost a struggle but the hotel said we could use a spare space at the back. The breakfast was on the basic side but perfectly ample. It was run efficiently by keen staff who made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay here again for sure.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. The restaurant served well prepared food in generous portions. It's a nice location outside of Keswick with lovely views.
This hotel is situated within the heart of the beautiful Lake District, overlooked by the impressive fells and mountains. It offers stylish, modern rooms and an all-day coffee shop.
Great hotel with friendly hardworking staff. Ideal base for walking surrounding fells, and close enough to Glenridding with ulswater also a short walk away. When here you feel like you have escaped the crowds and can relax, definitely be coming again.

Patterdale sits at the rugged end of Ullswater, and offers access to Helvellyn, High Street, and other peaks of truly astonishing beauty. The hiking in this part of the Lakes is strenuous and at times difficult, so visitors should be prepared for that. But the views are worth every step.
Patterdale itself is quite small, with a hotel, a pub, and then the Brotherswater Inn a little up the road. You'll need time to get around and time for meals and drinks. It's not a place to move fast, but it is a perfect place to stop and breathe.
Plan your hikes carefully, consult with local staff, and check the weather.

It’s truly a breathtaking stunning location . The hills and mountains are superb , the air so fresh. It’s serine and relaxing, highly recommended to restore your batteries so to speak . Wonderful to step outside the hotel and walk around the edge of the lake and take in the views.
One or two shops up the rd at Glenridding cafe’s and restaurants. Boats for hire on the lake .

Patterdale is not Keswick or Windermere.
Patterdale is not Keswick or Windermere. The scenery is spectacular and a haven for walkers of all capabilities and water sports. We found the area beautiful and like being abroad. Definitely will be coming back to walk and do some fishing. We made our way to the White Lion pub which is a focal point for both visitors and locals serving excellent food and a variety of local beers.

Lovely location to hike local fells and visit Ullswater and Aeroforce Falls....Only a sml village tho so getting an evening meal was difficult as the couple of Hotles there were only serving residents due to lack of Staff. Maybe a day trip best unless staying in one of those Hotels

A great Lakeland village with Glenridding a short walk away.
A great Lakeland village with Glenridding a short walk away. Between the two villages they offer a selection of shops and pubs/hotels. There are countless walks and fells straight out of the door of your hotel. Ullswater in nearby and offers great water sport activities or just boat cruise for the less adventurous.
Our hosts were simply fantastic! They made sure that we felt really good throughout the whole stay. On top of that the breakfast was plenty.
The location was absolutely fabulous with a royal view from the room.
If the purpose of the journey is to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the best spot to choose as opposed to staying in a hotel.
Everything was perfect! I would definitely visit again!
Amazing location and great staff on our first nights stay here at the Patterdale hotel. The food is exceptional and the breakfast is top quality. The rooms are spacious and accommodating with some of the comfiest beds available for a great nights sleep. I would love to visit the lakes again and if I do this is the place I will stay.
We stayed for two nights here. The staff were very nice. The area around the hotel is quite pretty and the lake is close. There is also a pub just down the street where you can go for drinks or dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was quite nice and included eggs done several ways which we appreciated.
The hotel room was dated and shabby, with marks on the walls, old worn carpet, door handle on the bathroom was loose and lopsided. The bathroom was mostly clean but the grout between the tiles around the bath was dirty.
The restaurant had limited choice and the food was basic and overpriced.
This pub is a very short distance off our Tour of the Lake District walking route about 45 minutes walk south of Patterdale. The staff were very helpful and the dinner was good, the breakfast was one of the best we had and the packed lunch was excellent.
The hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The location was great, unfortunately nowhere to get an evening meal in Patterdale so we had to walk to the next village. My room was cold. Breakfast okay but no more. Lovely homemade marmalade
The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.
The location was excellent and close to activities. The views outside the hotel were excellent. There is also adequate parking outside of the hotel. The locally-produced beer tasted AMAZING!
the location was amazing,a beautiful quiet spot away from main roads but only by a couple of minutes away from patterdale and glenridding,we would definately go again
