The property is magnificent. So stylish with quality furnishings and decor throughout, it could be out of an interior design magazine ! Extremely clean and a wonderful friendly welcome from the charming Jean Michelle. I will definitely recommend this property and will return when I am next in France.

Great location, much bigger than we expected and the outside space was fantastic, perfect for a glass or 2 after a long day. Can recomend La Reserve restaurant, absolutly fantastic Tapas and Steak.

I was there to go to the cour d'assizes and travel around southern Normandie. The town was extremely walkable with delightful shops and everything you'd expect in a smallish French town. Les Deux Marguerite shares space with the Chateau des Ducs, part of which dates to the 12th century and has a lovely park. Don't forget Pedro's, the chocolate shop and tea shop where I took afternoon tea and met Pedro's wife and business partner, Huguette. Three generations of absolutely delicious chocolate. There's an impressive cathedral, the river Sarthe and La Briante, a delightful stream/brook that runs by the chateau de Ducs and Les Deux Marguerite. I really need to go back there.

This hotel is long overdue for an overhaul, room needs redecoration and updated facilities.
We have stayed here four times a year for at least 10 years as it’s so convenient for the A28. Perhaps it’s time to look for another option!

The cheaper accommodation is just that, cheap and cheerful.
The cheaper accommodation is just that, cheap and cheerful. However, the previous time I stayed in Alencon, I stayed in a very nice chateau right in the centre, at a reasonable cost. The city centre is charming/historical and there are plenty of places to eat/drink.

There was a very French enregy about the place with tree lined boulevards and pavement cafes. Numerous boulangeris and so no trouble if you are self servicing your breakfast. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and buildings of architectural interest. There was also the feeling of a university town.

A very dated hotel, room was smelling of damp and the table lamp and curtains were dirty. The hotel grounds were unkempt and in need of care. Disappointed as we have stayed a lot at this particular chain and have noticed a general decline in their standards.
On the plus side the restaurant could not be faulted food was excellent.

Hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre.
Hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre. St Therese's family home. Nice square near the basilica. Need to book ahead for restaurants to be certain to get a meal. Very nice part of the world with excellent motorway communications. Good place to stay before catching ferry back to UK.
The breakfast was phenomenal. The staff was warm and welcoming. The host was very helpful with accommodating my wife and me. The host went out of his way to find a wheelchair for my wife. And Stephane spoke perfect English. He also gave many good ideas about things we could go see in Alencon. The property is beautiful to walk. And it is nearby many amazing restaurants and beautiful churches. Of all of the things we saw and experienced in France, Les Deux Marguerite will always be cherished as one of my favorite places.
the hotel is a small property near the road , very convenient to stay and move on . while the setting is pretty simple , it is impeccably clean . small rooms , but fictional . The bathroom has shower gel dispensers , the young lady managing hotel during our stay there was absolutely exceptional - she even helped us with the laundry . the breakfast was very nice and freshly prepared
Perfect location. Who wouldn't want to stay in a beautiful park in a place that became home for me for a few days while I traveled around southern Normandie. Stephane Guy was a wonderful host and even offered to help me get to the gare d'Alencon. I hope to get back there. Oh, and I enjoyed the breakfast, delicious baguette, homemade jam and wonderful coffee. Gorgeous!
Les Deux Marguerite is centrally located but tucked away so it feels peaceful and private, it is beautifully decorated with attention to detail and to an exceptional standard. Stephane is kind, attentive and an excellent host. Our stay was an unexpected addition to our holiday and it was a wonderful last night in France! Thank you Stephane, we will be back!
This hotel is well situated, our ground floor room was a good size, high ceilings and beautiful large windows. Very clean and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very good. The outdoor space and garden is a little haven. We liked the secure parking. The staff were helpful and approachable. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
We were arriving late and the hotel sent us an email and text with the entry code, making it stress-free. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities provided. We could park for free and there was a Lidl nearby for breakfast and a petrol station next to that.
A stunning stay with very friendly people. The supper on the terrace was delicious and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful. We would happily stay again nect time we travel through France.
We both slept very well in quite unique surroundings.
Huge quiet (second floor) room in old house with parking on site and a garden you can sit in; all rooms are large.
Very close too all amenities in Alencon which is a lovely town, which made a great stopover travelling through France.
Stayed here before due to its location which is excellent. Simple and comfortable rooms, the beds have always been great. Aircon and heating always available. Will continue to use Campanile Alencon.
I wanted to say how lovely the hosts of this hotel are. They work very hard and are very accommodating and friendly. I can’t praise them enough for their kindness and helpfulness. Merci beaucoup!
The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the main A route. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food was superb.
Convenient location to break up a long journey from the UK to South-West France. Modern property. Buffalo Grill right next door. Friendly reception staff. Good air-con. Comfy bed.
Pet-friendly and functional hotel with a kind host who stayed up to welcome us when we’d been delayed en route. Safe, off-street parking was very welcome and a nice breakfast.
