Pre-ordered breakfast is served in the main house dinning room, surrounded by WW2 flying artifacts including the nose cone & pilots cabin from a C47 (Dakota/DC3) aircraft and a table made from a BF1009 engine... D Day Aviators is an extraordinary and eclectic place to stay - full of surprises, delight and interest even for those not fascinated by the last war or flying. Owners Paul and Anne (both qualified pilots) are brilliant hosts who make you feel super welcome and that you've known them for years (this was our first visit) and will happily explain all the items & pictures on display. Close to the beach and restaurants, a cross between a hotel and a museum but with friendly 'curators', this is a special and quirky hotel and we can't wait to go back.
