The hotel owner was exceptionally helpful to me after injuring myself during my pilgrims' walk.
Kindness and care for guests is the hallmark of an excellent establishment.
The rooms and facilities were clean and the breakfast was sufficient.
This 19-century residence is set in a park planted with trees in the outskirts of Epernay, the capital of the Champagne region.

Nothing went well! Before entering reception, the cleanliness outside was an issue: dirty lights and windows, a cigarette ashtray at the front door (which was full with ash stains on the wall from where people had put out their cigarettes); the hap-hazard reception desk, which was partly a desk and partly an old LV suitcase, with a tower computer visible under the desk and age-old printer linked-up to it, plus a very 'unique' pot plant arranged precariously on the suitcase. It was hideous. So, too, was the patronising (which is difficult when someone is at least 30 years younger than you) attitude of the Receptionist, Romane, who was simply not equipped to deal with out complaint that the room was only 10 foot from a noisy road (Avenue de Champagne) and, despite highly unattractive and filthy double-glazing on the windows and on the outside (yes, outside! ... the room wasn't even *in* the Hotel) door, the room was very noisy. But, even the noise couldn't overshadow the filthiness of the establishment: there were cobwebs and dirt on the outside light and between the perimeter door and inside door; the hard-floor had/s ingrained stains from years of a dirt. When I was at pains to explain to the Receptionist what was wrong with the room, she offered to clean it for us! While we were there! She steadfastly refused to put us in another room - unless we paid a further amount on top of the £330+ I was also forced to pre-pay (we didn't had a card with us, and she wouldn't allow us into our booked room without some from of payment) even though she had a room she could have offered us. The then called her Manager, but wouldn't let me have the Manager's name, nor speak to him/her. She was absolutely out of her depth and, to top it all, rude and dismissive - it was an infuriating situation.

The hosts couldn’t do enough for us even chauffeuring us on a trip to the neighbouring vineyards and restaurants - a home from home

Very disappointing to visit at Easter - most of the champagne houses were closed and the good restaurants were all full. I have been before in the summer when its much better. I must recommend Kitsch Cafe - literally the best coffee I have tasted in France.

A lovely city with plenty to see and visit, lovely bars, restaurants and cafes. Of course the champagne tasting is a must and we found a town called Monthelon with wonderful tasting at a small champagne house called Denis Frezier. A must if you visit this area.

Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train.
Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train. There is a lot to see and do and beautiful countryside and small villages to explore if you are into food and wine it is a paradise but remember bookings are often required moths in advance for some tours. Be aware it does not target the budget traveller so be prepared. there are cheaper meal options and great shops with ready prepared french classics to re heat.
Overall a great place to Base yourself. We try and Stay at La Mignonette it is well located with parking and your own kitchen and laundry. it helped stretch the budget.

Amazing place if you love Champagne but also if you want to learn more. The newly opened museum is very useful to understand how nature and human genius created the Champagne success. People are generally very kind and smiling.
We had the pleasure to have a tasting in Champagne Michel Gonet which we suggest.
The only bad experience has been with the lousy service of the "Brasserie de la Banque". We booked a table 3 days before going there because of a special occasion and received the confirmation. We entered on the booked evening at 19.50 and at 20.28 no one came even to ask us if we wanted to drink something. We simply left and the old person at the entrance (who showed us the table 30 minutes before) even did not notice it . Fortunately there is the place "Brasserie Le Progres" in face of it. We have been happily there three times in three days

Our friends recommended we stay in Epernay rather than Reims and I am glad we did. Epernay and the main street which is world heritage listed is lovely to stroll up and down, and it's easy to pop into a champagne house for a quick drink. Make sure you book your Champagne House Tours months in advance as we left it late and missed a few of our favourites. We drove to Reims for Veuve, Pommery and Mumm and Moet and many others are in Epernay. Reims was about 30min drive and the champagne houses provide parking.

Compact town with excellent restaurants and everything you would want if you are an Oenophile with the emphasis on the Fizz!
If you are self catering they have a big SuperMarche on the outskirts and 2 Mini shops in the town.
Chez Max Restaurant is a must eat if you are in town
Also good Bus service if you do not have a car.. Easy to use and cheap
This is a very pretty property when you first enter the gates. Our room and en-suite bathroom were large, quite and well furnished. The location is good a short walk 10mins to centre, restaurants and Avenue de Champagne. Secure parking is a bonus. Valerie was lovely and informative, good easy check in. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Fresh fruits, cereals, pastries, Jams, meats and breads along with a boiled egg on request. We would recommend this hotel for a stay Epernay.
Me and my husband enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is clean, the location is super central, 5 min walk from Avenue de Champagne, Parking nearby. Together with market, grocery shops, cafes etc.
Communication with owners was absolutely amazing: clear instructions prior to the visit, some nice tips for the local wineries, places to see, etc. Though we did not meet, this communication was one of the best ones we ever experienced in our travels.
Anne Marie and Bruno are just the nicest people. The hotel is immaculate and their decorative style is impeccable. We loved our room, it was quiet and clean and super comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing! Loved having access to coffee, tea and water 24 hours in the upstairs parlor. They were so helpful with parking the car and the central location is perfect for exploring Epernay. We had a lovely stay.
The Loft Inn in Epernay is a newly remodeled, clean apartment in a convenient neighborhood near the city center with a supermarché and boulangerie nearby. It has a kitchen with a ceramic cook top, a coffeemaker and a small fridge, but no dishwasher. The bathroom has a nice wand shower (the rain fixture is present but not hooked up), and a small sink and vanity. The bedding is okay.
Very nicely located littel hotel. About 15 minutes walk to the city center. Room was at bit small but had everything needed. Bathroom was rather new. The owners extremely friendly and caring about their guests. Enough parking space for cars. Breakfast was good for France, I missed some eggs but instead I had very good french croissants.
We will certainly come back to this place.
Aboslutely amazing! One of the best hotels I have stayed at and at such a perfect location! We really couldn't name a single thing we would change. The house champagne is lovely, the location ideal, the breakfast top notch, the cleanliness superb, and overall the most fantastic experience along our 6 week trip. I cannot recommend this place enough.
This is a great location when staying for a night (or a weekend) in Epernay. The hotel is budget so do not expect luxury but it is clean and everything works well. Free parking and friendly staff. Location is a bit outside the center so a car is recommended when staying here. We will come back. Happy about the great value for the money we spent.
We had actually booked another place to stay in Epernay, but that didn’t work out, so we quickly needed something else. The hotel is situated in the center of Epernay with ample parking spaces nearby. Clean and tidy rooms, good beds and big enough for one night. Staff alright.
Great location for a stop over if travelling in France but also for exploring the lovely town of Epernay itself. The hotel is located close to the centre of town so perfect for checking out the sites, cafes, restaurants and of course the Champagne Avenue!
The host was kind and gave us the keys, even though we arrived very late. The breakfast was basic, but nice and a good start of the day.
Owner had bottles of champagne for sale, which we did buy as our schedule did not allow for more time in Epernay.
A long awaited return to this beautiful place, Madam is friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms are huge and amazing, champagne and canape upon arrival and an wonderful breakfast. All right in the center of Epernay.
Perfectly situated in the centre of Epernay, beautiful “hotel particulier” with secure parking in courtyard, comfortable bed, quiet, nice breakfast, charming hosts.
The location of the property was fantastic. Very central in Epernay and close to some bars, restaurants and a supermarket (and of course the Champagne houses)
Good location on the outskirts of Epernay. Motel style with parking directly outside my room. Good restaurant at reasonable price. Good value for money.
