Menthon-Saint-Bernard is a very small town but it has a bar, restaurants, bakers and a well-stocked "local" supermarket. People very friendly! Where nearby Annecy is a beautiful, bustling city, Menthon is better for those who prefer the relative peace of the lake and mountains, yet is only a half hour drive into the city. There is also a bus service. Obviously very popular with cyclists, it is a VERY cycle-friendly place! There were lots of annoying roadworks at the time of our visit. We ate at the hotel and at the Chalet by the lake - nice, chilled pub-grub type food.DAPHNEFrance - 10Scored 10

The hotels lake side restaurant was very refreshing and perfect setting for its location within the hotel gardens. Location was spot on for us, about a 9km cycle to the main centre of Annecy, walking distance to eating places nearby. Staff attentiveness could be a little more on a few items upon check-in, but to be honest you felt relaxed at the hotel and very calm.

The spa was closed when we were so I can not say but I'm sure it's great because I looked at it.
