This place was perfect! The staff was so kind and accommodating, and they tolerated my poor French. The room was huge and clean, with a nice workspace. Lyon is a great city. I can't wait to come back.

Great location, great and very helpful personnel, tasty breakfast with a lot of options (even warm potatoes and smashed eggs). Our child got a welcome pocket with small surprise and also enjoyed a kids zone in a lobby. There is a TV in the lobby showing departs from the Part-Dieu railway station.

Located in central Lyon, Mercure Lyon Centre Saxe Lafayette is 15 minutes' walk from Part-Dieu TGV Train Station. It offers free high-speed WiFi access and a fitness room with an indoor swimming pool.... Absolutely amazing stay at the Mercure Saxe Lafayette - the staff were very helpful and the facilities and rooms were excellent (just wish the pool was a bit bigger). Other than that, I can’t fault it - and the breakfast spread was amazing, so much choice and in a gorgeous restaurant! The hotel is brilliantly located, a 5 minute walk from the river Rhone and very close to 2nd Arrondissement where all the shops and restaurants are - I will be coming back to Lyon and would recommend the Mercure Saxe Lafayette to EVERYBODY :)
