We loved staying at Casa Petunia. It was in a great location near the beach and restaurants and a short taxi ride away from the centre. The place is lovely - furnished with art and furniture from when the owners lived in Bali, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. There is an amazing breakfast and the staff and owners are hugely welcoming and responsive - nothing is too much trouble.

The apartment is secured and clean. The staff was really great, the lady responsible for the apartment was reliable. She provided us with bedsheets and responded really fast when we needed her. Great spot for family vacation. I'll probably come back but won't forget my toiletries and bed sheets

Good location in the centre of the city, close to restaurants, shops, bus stop. Front desk staff were very kind, and always willing to help. It was the only positive we found at this hotel.

We reserved the hotel using booking.com - When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted to parcel in 3 instalments the stay or pay all at once. We paid all at once. Next day we received a notification from booking, advising "no show". It was very strange for us, so we went to reception to check it. We were told that the central of the hotel: some guy named "Lucas" located in the south of Brazil (no one of the staff was able to tell even the city were the central of reserve was located) took the reservation out of the booking and did through the hotel. Later on, we questioned the hotel manager "Adriana" and we were told that this is common practice, as we had to understand that they did not want to pay the fees to booking... So, the hotel uses their services to get customers and then they just magically withdraw them for the booking web site. They communicate only via WhatsApp and when you question their practices, they just stop answering you. Very professional! The pictures showed on booking do not reflect the reality. Look like from a long time ago. The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator. With a 3 years old child it was quite tiring to go up and down from the room with all beach stuff. The room had an old and noisy air conditioner. Very difficult to sleep. No chairs and table in the room. The space was too small. The wi-fi worked very poorly and ONLY at reception. If you need to use it in your room, forget it! The breakfast was a joke. First the receptionist had a non friendly face right at the entrance. The pictures do not show the reality, starting with the tables and chairs that are different and not comfortable. Only one baby chair for such a big hotel. The food ends very quicky and no reposition is made. If you arrive later you will be hungry. They clearly do not have structure to serve all customers with quality. Lack of cutlery, dishes, there were flies and a very strong mold smell.

Location and comfort. Easy to visit central points and bed was very nice. Strong shower was lovely.

Accessibility. Steps at the entrance before you get to the lifts and also on rooftop to get to breakfast room. Breakfast room very messy by 8 am. Cleanliness: generally clean but corners of room had old hair.
