Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe shower…you could only open the shower door a couple of inches as it was so close to the so to access the shower you had to leave the bathroom door open and then you could just squeeze in to the shower. The bed was rather hard and the pillows were not good. The room does not have any complimentary tea, coffee or sugar. The air conditioning was not working and with reception only open for a short period there was no one we could ask for help.
Great location with two tube stations and bus stops in close proximity Also very close to shops and some great cafes. Kensington Gardens within a 10 Minute walk Kitchenette had the basic items to enable you to cook a small meal with a dishwasher to clean those dirty dishes As long as you don’t have room 103 or 203 your room will have a washing machine. If you have booked this location to ensure you have these facilities make sure you advise the person on reception you expect to have a room that includes what you paid for.

JordanI booked the 'Triple Split - Level Studio' room. based on the images on the website-I believed that I would have more space to operate in and thus better value for money, unfortunately I was not given the same room as the pictures (only realised this after leaving). The 'upper' sleeping area ceiling was so low that you had to crouch when reaching the top of the stairs and then have to slide into the bed for fear of scraping your head, when in the bed you could literally reach up and place your palm on the ceiling. suffice to say it was extremely uncomfortable getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom all the way below.
Excellent location, staff were wonderful and solved every issue that came up promptly, I would stay here again but not book the same room I stayed in last time.

LuxembourgWe could hear the TV from the room next to us as if they were watching TV in our room.
We stayed in an studio apartment and we were very satisfied. The receptionist was kind and forthcoming. We could also check-in before time and leave our bags after checking out which was very useful. Lots of restaurants, cafes, shops around but about a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre. There is a tube station nearby and there are good bus connections though. (little piece of advice: buses are much cheaper and actually quite convenient too)

Really helpful staff, they allowed early check in and for us to leave our bags on the last day, so we could be baggage free, which was great. We had a premium room which gave us more space. The property was very quiet, no noise from the other guests or the lift (which our room was right next door to).
