The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally located a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. Very good location! I was able to start all of my booked tours from this hotel.

As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Hotel was really nice, staff very accommodating, beds super comfy. We wish we stayed longer.

Located atop a natural peninsula, The Cliff Bay provides panoramic Atlantic Ocean views and private sea access. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 2-Michelin star restaurant and free... We do like everything about hotel. Excellent place for everyone.

Featuring a bar, Vila Vicência is located in Funchal in the Madeira region, a 7-minute walk from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 1.8 miles from Formosa Beach. I liked territory of the villa, it’s really cozy. And my room was wonderful, overlooking the ocean and pool.

Featuring panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, this luxurious hotel in Funchal offers an indoor and outdoor pool and spa. The rooms include a balcony and cable TV. Wonderful hotel in a very convenient good location near the city center. The staff is very responsive and polite. A huge advantage of the hotel is that it has its own free underground parking for clients. There is quite a wide variety for breakfast, although not extremely large, but everything is very tasty and fresh. Coffee is from large coffee machines, but, as I understand it, from coffee beans, since coffee takes quite a long time to make, but it turns out very tasty, aromatic and excellent.

Located in Lido, just a 5-minute walk from the oceanfront promenade in Funchal, the recently refurbished Allegro Madeira offers 2 restaurants, an outdoor pool, 360º rooftop bar, spa and fitness... The view was so beautiful and the pool was lovely. It was in the best location to stroll the waterfront shops and easy access to walk to the old town or hop a bus.
